Daddy Daughter Dance
Saturday, February 13, 2010
Joey took Maci to the Daddy-Daughter Dance for our city. She got a new dress, sweater, and necklace for the big dance. The morning of I took her to a little girl salon called Sweet and Sassy to get her hair done. She got an updo complete with glitter spray and flowers. They went to dinner with friends and then it was onto the dance. They spent the night doing the Macarena, YMCA, and the chicken dance where the little girls yelled "I Love My Dad" each time they clapped. They also learned dance moves to "Party in the USA." I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see all of it! They were supposed to go for ice cream afterwards, but it took them 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot. It only took us 4 years (almost) of living here to realize that the Daddy-Daughter Dance was a big deal and that everyone went to it. Glad we finally took the plunge and they got to go. I can guarantee nothing will keep them from it next year or any year after that!

Bryce wanted in on the action!
