Look Dad!

This is the coolest thing ever.! It sure is Maci. I am pretty sure Maci picked that line up from her mom. Stephanie can be dramatic. When she is cooking and she accidentally adds 3/4 cups sugar instead of 2/3 cup, she screams like someone has just cut off her leg. When she makes a little craft for her preschool class it becomes the coolest thing ever.

Maci was in a talkative mood today. After we left the gym, we went to Walmart. Of course while we were there Maci had to go "Potty". As you can imagine the mens restroom in Walmart is usually not the best place to take your little girl. However, since I laugh in the face of danger, I decided to risk it.

I took Maci into the cleanest stall, and she immediately went about her business. At about that time, a man came in and sat down in the stall next to us. Apparently he was having a bad day because he was quite noisy. Maci picked up on this and blurted out "Thats a big poop!" I thought it was an accurate observation so I responded with a "It sure is!"

Maci and I sure have fun together.

Despite what you see in the pictures I have posted....Maci really loves her brother a whole bunch. She can't wait until he is big enough to really play with her.

Since I seem to post a lot of pictures where Maci's actions with Bryce are questionable I thought I should post a picture to prove otherwise.So, here is the proof that she is sweet and loving to him too.

It's a good thing our ceilings are so high so that Joey can attempt to throw our first born as high as he possibly can. And, of course, she loves it!!!!

Maci's newest and greatest hobby is picking flowers. It started with all of the wild dandelions that started growing anywhere and everywhere. Since I never told her she shouldn't and couldn't pick the yellow ones now that other flowers are in bloom, like the roses in our front yard or in our good friends back yard, she is not afraid to pick those either.

Luckily we only had to explain to her once to not pick flowers in our yard or anyone else's.

Good thing there are plenty of those darn dandelions!!

Yep....this was a fun mess to clean off of her. She ate a whole container full of these giant strawberries. No really...she ate the whole thing....by taking one or two bites out of each strawberry.

What you see in this picture....Maci with skinned knees crying on the counter....happens at least every other day in our house. Since she is always "going full blast" (how Grandpa Joe likes to describe her) she is quite prone to skinned knees. Needless to say, she was right back out playing soccer as soon as we got the band aid on. She wants to be big so bad and be able to ride her bike with all of the big kids in our neighborhood. She watches them from our front windows or from our front yard just wishing thatt she could be out on her own with them.

When we tell her that she can't ride her bike in the street like the other kids she sadly responds with, "It's hard to be litte."

This is what happens if you leave Maci alone with Bryce for more than 30 seconds. He just loves Maci though. He is regularly cracking up at her. And when I say cracking up I mean he is giggling harder than I have ever heard a baby this young laugh. You would think that he would be afraid of her since the only way she knows how to talk to him is approximately 1 inch from his face. But I guess he knows it's his Big Sis.....and he just can't get enough of her!!!!!

Besides a few bites of cereal for breakfast.....I am pretty sure Maci went to bed tonight with only candy in her stomach. Thank goodness she brushed her teeth. Little does she know that as soon as I am done updating this website I am throwing all leftover candy into the garbage.
She had such a fun day though. It started out with a basket full of goodies from the Easter Bunny. Then she wore her new dress and pink sparkly shoes to church. Then after church we went to her friend Elise's house for dinner and ANOTHER egg hunt. She participated in three egg hunts this weekend and by the third one she clearly knew what she was doing. You can tell by how many eggs are in her basket. I actually had to sneak them out of her basket and throw them back onto the ground for her cousin Charlie to get.

So Sad!!

Bryce is upset because Maci got more in her Easter basket than he did. He is also crying because his clothes are too small, but he had to wear them because the weather decided to take a turn for the worse and it even snowed a little bit on Saturday morning.

In fact Maci had a primary activity on Saturday morning and I forgot to bring her easter basket for the egg hunt at the end. I went back home to get it thinking I had plenty of time. Of course when I got back the kids were just finishing up. I felt so terrible because not only did Maci have to hunt for eggs using a plastic bag, but she also had to wear a sweatshirt from the Lost and Found because I took her sweater home and it was snowing outside. I guess she didn't mind though because I found her in the gym sitting with her little friends happily eating her candy.

Joey and Maci love to have daddy-daughter time together.....and this is their latest method for doing that. They go all around our neighborhood like this. Joey says that the looks he gets from people is a combination of "how cute" and also bewilderment. I guess this is because you don't see too many little girls wrapped around the leg of their daddy riding a skateboard. They go pretty fast, but Joey assures me it is safe because......."I did this all the time with Heidi when she was little." So.... thanks Heidi for being his guinea pig many years ago.
