See What's Going on

Yes, This is a True Story

Wednesday, March 12, 2003

This year General Motors announced that they
would be phasing out the Chevy Camaro. I feel really bad about this for several
reasons. Believe it or not there are some good looking Camaro's out there. The
problem is the type of drivers that Camaro's attract. If you don't know what I
am talking about, then maybe you should click over to another site so you don't
get offended by the rest of the information included on this page. I mean the
"Mullet" is synonomous with Camaro's. Some circles even refer to
mullets as "Camaro Cuts". Yes, sadly enough the Camaro's image has
continued on a downward spiral ever since the roaring 80's (the last time it
was cool to have a mullet).

The picture of the Camaro featured on this page pretty much sums up this whole
dire situation. Notice the door that has been replaced. Now, normally I would
not have a problem with replacing a door. The door it replaced was probably
dented and did not function properly. What caught my attention, and what really
encompasses the whole Camaro phenomenon, is what happened after the door was
replaced. They Spray painted it! And they did a horrible job. Notice how they
started off at the top and sprayed so much that it started to drip down the
side. I'm willing to bet that if you have ever seen this on any vehicle before,
that it was on a Camaro.

The best part about this picture is the part you can't see because of the glare
coming off the windshield. This car has "The Club" on it. When I saw
the club I looked around the parking lot to see if any of the other cars had
clubs on them. Maybe there is a problem with cars getting stolen out of the
parking lot that I was unaware of. Nope, no other cars have clubs on them.
There are Mercedes’, BMW's, Honda's, Acura's, an Escalade..etc. and none of
them have clubs on them.

That pretty much sums it up. America is losing the Camaro and the funny thing
is it is not the Camaro's fault. It's the fault of the Camaro owners who
"Customize" their cars with spray paint.
